Latex & Glue Removal
Siddons Floor Preparation Ltd offers a comprehensive service for the removal of glue and latex from commercial and industrial floors. Using the latest equipment and time-proven techniques, our flooring specialists will completely remove all traces of the adhesive compound before preparing the surface for the new flooring system.
Latex / Glue Removal Processes
Latex / glue is a self-levelling compound that is widely used to secure vinyl sheet, carpets and carpet tiles in place (typically in commercial and industrial environments).
When the carpet / vinyl tiles are removed, the latex or glue will remain on the floor. This must be removed, restoring the floor back to the bare concrete by applying a heavy grind using aggressive PCD diamond tips before new latex can be re-applied.
K screed is a widely used form of pump-concrete, especially in new construction developments. This also requires a light diamond grind (using hard bond diamond tips) to remove the soft top-layer to provide a key before new latex can be applied.
Why Siddons Floor Preparation Ltd?
Siddons Floor Preparation Ltd has 4 three-phase diamond grinding machines and vacuums, with diamond tips for all types of latex removal. We also specialise in removing ceramic floor tile adhesive, which requires a soft bond diamond tip grind.
We have completed many jobs that require specialised equipment and training including floor preparation jobs in hospitals and care homes. Whatever your requirements, the team at Siddons Floor Preparation Ltd will undertake projects of all sizes, efficiently and completely removing the latex, glue and other adhesive compounds from the surface to enable the installation of a new flooring system.
